A Radiator That Makes Space

An old racing radiator allows space for passing the cold side intercooler pipe.

I installed an aluminum racing radiator that was narrowed to allow space for an intake pipe to pass into the mouth from the throttle body. In a similar fashion I ran the cold side intercooler pipe to the throttle body in this space. This radiator mounted to the stock locating points.

Two low profile fans were mounted to a shroud built from sheet metal which bolted to the OE fan bosses on the radiator. These fans were rated at similar cfm and amps as the stock units, and were wire using the stock circuit.

Area in front of the radiator is sealed up using 1/8th inch abs plastic sheet. This prevents oncoming air from running over the radiator, forcing the air through it for more efficient cooling.
